Chicken Cheese Ball

I discovered this recipe a few years ago and it has become the most requested recipe I have and the first recipe I make any time I need an appetizer. It's THAT good!!! It's so easy and can be made in advance. Most of the time I leave out the pecans. Just a personal preference.

1 (5 ounce) can chunk chicken, drained

1 packet Ranch salad dressing mix

2 (8 ounce) packages cream cheese, softened

1 cup pecans, chopped (optional)

Combine chicken, salad dressing mix and cream cheese in mixing bowl. Beat at medium speed with electric mixer until blended. Shape into a ball and roll in pecans. Cover and chill. Serve with any kind of cracker. I usually use Chicken in a Biscuit, Triscuits and/or Ritz.
