Chocolate Covered Strawberries

So delicious and so elegant!!!

16 ounce milk chocolate or semi sweet chocolate chips

2 tablespoons Crisco shortening

1 pound fresh strawberries with leaves

In double boiler or a bowl over a pan of hot water, melt the chocolate chips and shortening, stir until smooth. Using a toothpick or wooden kabob dip strawberries into chocolate mixture. For strawberries with no flat side, turn strawberries upside down and stick toothpick into styrofoam to dry. Otherwise lay on wax paper to dry.
