Taco Dip

Always popular. Besides the Chicken Cheese Ball, my most served appetizer.

1 (8 ounce) package cream cheese

1 (8 ounce) container sour cream

1 (8 ounce) jar mild Ortega sauce

1 package taco seasoning mix

1 head lettuce, shredded

1 onion, chopped

1 green pepper, chopped

1 tomato, chopped

2 cups shredded cheddar and/or Mozzarella cheese

Tortilla chips

Mix 8 tablespoons Ortega sauce with cream cheese.  Add sour cream and taco seasoning and mix well.  Spread in bottom of a 9x13 inch pan.  Sprinkle veggies over this and top with cheeses.  Sprinkle remaining Ortega sauce over all.  Serve with tortilla chips.
