Chocolate Mint Brownies

If you are a fan of chocolate and mint candies, these are for you. Also looks really pretty. Color the mint layer green or red depending on the holiday.

1 cup sugar

1/2 cup butter or margarine

1/2 teaspoon salt

1 (16 ounce) can Hershey's chocolate syrup

4 eggs

1 cup flour

1 teaspoon vanilla

1 cup chopped nuts

Mix all ingredients.  Pour into an 11x17 inch pan and bake for 20 to 25 minutes.

2 cups powdered sugar

2 tablespoons milk

3 to 4 drops green food coloring

1/2 cup margarine

3/4 teaspoon peppermint extract

Mix all ingredients and spread on cooled cake.  Refrigerate 20 minutes.

10 ounces chocolate chips

2 tablespoons milk

1/2 cup margarine

Melt ingredients and spread on cooled mint topping.  Refrigerate 1/2 hour.
