Mom's Porcupine Meatballs

This is certainly an old recipe, but its so fun and tasty. It'a a very cozy old fashioned comfort food meal that's easy to put together and turns out perfect every time..

1 pound ground beef

1/2 cup rice, uncooked

1/2 cup milk

1/4 cup onion, chopped

1 teaspoon salt

1/2 teaspoon celery salt

1/4 teaspoon garlic salt

1/4 teaspoon pepper

1 tablespoon butter

1 (15 ounce) can tomato sauce

1 cup water

1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce

Mix beef, rice, milk, onion, salt, celery salt, garlic salt, and pepper.  Form into 8 balls.  Fry in melted butter, turning frequently, until light brown, (but not crusty), on all sides.  In small bowl mix, tomato sauce, water and Worcestershire sauce.  Mix well and pour over meatballs.  Cover and simmer for 45 minutes over low heat.  Add a small amount of additional water if liquid cooks down too much.
