Parkerhouse Rolls

These are really light fluffy and buttery. I serve them with our holiday meals.

1 1/3 cups milk, warmed

2 1/2 tablespoons butter or margarine

1 extra large egg

1 1/3 tablespoons sugar

2/3 teaspoon salt

3 1/3 cups bread flour

1 package yeast

1/2 cup butter or margarine, melted

Add according to your breadmakers directions and use DOUGH cycle.  After cycle is complete, knead dough by hand for about 5 minutes.  Roll into a "log" shape and divide into 12 portions.  Cut each portion into three chunks. Roll each chunk into a ball and dip in melted butter or margarine.  Place 3 balls into each well of a 12 cup muffin pan.  Drizzle any leftover melted butter over the rolls.  Cover lightly and allow to rise in warm place until doubled in bulk, about 35 to 45 minutes.  Bake at 400 degrees for 20 to 25 minutes. Watch carefully.
