Poppy Seed Bread

This is my favorite quick bread. It's just plain delicious!!!

3 eggs

1 1/4 cups oil

3 cups flour

2 1/4 cups sugar

1 1/2 cups milk

1 1/2 teaspoons salt

1 1/2 teaspoon baking powder

1 1/2 teaspoons EACH vanilla, almond and butter extracts

1 1/2 tablespoons poppy seeds

Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Grease and flour 2 loaf pans. Mix all ingredients, pour into loaf pans and bake for 1 hour, or until toothpick inserted in center comes out clean. Mix glaze. While bread is still warm, poke about 7 to 10 holes in each loaf. Pour glaze slowly over entire loaves. Allow glaze to soak in for about 1/2 hour. Then turn out onto wire rack to cool completely.

GLAZE:

1/4 cup orange juice

3/4 cups sugar

1/2 teaspoon EACH vanilla, almond and butter extracts

In small pan mix ingredients. Bring to boil over medium high heat. Boil about 1 minute. Allow to cool slightly before pouring over breads.
