Swedish Tea Ring

This is SO good. My Mom used to make it all the time. It's very pretty and makes a wonderful presentation for company.

Dough from Christmas Stollen

2 tablespoons butter or margarine, softened

1/2 cup sugar

2 teaspoons cinnamon

1/2 cup raisins

Powdered sugar frosting

Make dough from Christmas Stollen recipe.  After second rising, roll dough into a 9x18 inch oblong.  Spread with butter and sprinkle with sugar, cinnamon and raisins.  Roll up tightly, beginning from the wide side.  Seal well by pinching edges of roll together.  Place sealed side down on lightly greased baking sheet and make it into a ring.  Join ends of ring and seal.  With a scissors or sharp knife, make cuts 2/3 of the way through the ring at about 1 inch intervals, turning each section on its side as you cut it.  Cover and let rise another 35 to 40 minutes.  Bake at 375 degrees for 25 to 30 minutes, until golden brown.  Frost with powdered sugar frosting while warm.
