Spaghetti Southern Style

This is one the family asks for and is on my everyday list. I've made this over the years too many times to count. It's from my Aunts Mother, who was a Pastor's wife at the church where I grew up.I have no idea why it's "southern style" but it was submitted to our Family Cookbook by my Aunt.

1/2 pound spaghetti, cooked

1 pound lean ground beef, browned

1 can whole kernel corn

1 can tomato soup

1 tablespoon butter or margarine

1 cup grated cheese

1 medium onion, chopped

1 green pepper, chopped

1/2 teaspoon salt

1/3 cup bread crumbs

1 tablespoon butter or margarine

Preheat oven to 350 degrees.  Add 1 tablespoon butter or margarine to frying pan; add onion and pepper and cook until soft.  Add tomato soup and salt.  Stir in cheese until melted.  Add spaghetti, corn and meat.  Mix well.  Put in a 2 quart baking dish.  Sprinkle with bread crumbs and dot with butter or margarine.  Bake for 45 minutes.  Makes 6 servings.
