Mom's Pizza Bake Dish
My mother made this all the time, especially when we had company and served it with a salad and garlic bread. I also make this all the time. It's one of our everyday favorites and has the added nostalgia of reminding me of my mother and my childhood.
Layer 1:
4 ounces wide noodles, cookedLayer 2:
1 1/2 pound ground beef, browned
1 cup onion
1/2 cup green pepper
1 (8ounce) can mushrooms and juice (optional)Add vegetables to meat as it browns.
Layer 3:
1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
1 can tomato soup
1/2 cup water
1 (6 ounce) can tomato paste
1 teaspoon salt
1/4 teaspoon pepperMix together to make a sauce.
Layer 4:
1/4 pound grated cheese, more if desiredPut 2 layers of each in casserole dish and bake at 350 degrees for 45 minutes.
