Minnesota Tator Tot Hot Dish

This is a mix of recipes I've found over the years from my Mom's Tator Tot Casserole to ideas I've found online. In Wisconsin, we always have bake dishes or casseroles and now that we live in Minnesota I found out that here they are always called "Hot Dishes" so here's to the Minnesota Hot Dish!!!

1 pound ground beef

3/4 cup frozen peas

1 can cream of mushroom or cream of chicken soup

1 (2.8) ounce can French Fried Onion Rings

About 50 tator tots

3/4 cup grated cheese

Preheat oven to 350 degrees.  Brown ground beef, add peas, soup and French Fried Onion Rings.  Pour into a casserole dish. Cover with single layer of tator tots.  Bake for 25 minutes, top with cheese and bake another 10 minutes.
