Sage Meatloaf

1 1/2 pounds ground beef

1/2 pound ground pork

2 eggs

1 cup oats

2 teaspoons salt

1/4 teaspoon pepper

1 medium onion, chopped

1 cup applesauce

3/4 teaspoon dried sage

2 tablespoons steak sauce

Soak top and bottom of clay cooker in water for at least 15 minutes.  Mix all ingredients together except steak sauce.  Form into a loaf and place in cooker.  Brush top with steak sauce.  Cover and place in cold oven.  Set temperature to 450 degrees.  Bake for 1 hour or until loaf is well browned.
