Aunt Joyce's Chocolate Crinkles

One of my youngest sons favorite cookies, these are made frequently. They have a nice rich chocolaty flavor.

1/2 cup oil

4 squares unsweetened chocolate, melted

4 eggs

2 cups sugar

2 teaspoons vanilla

2 cups flour

2 teaspoons baking powder

1/2 teaspoon salt

1 cup powdered sugar

Mix oil, chocolate and sugar.  Blend in 1 egg at a time until well mixed.  Add vanilla.  Stir in flour, baking powder, and salt.  Chill several hours or overnight.  Heat oven to 350 degrees.  Drop by teaspoons of dough into powdered sugar.  Roll in sugar and shape into balls.  Place 2 inches apart on a greased baking sheet.  Bake 10 to 12 minutes or until no imprint remains when touched lightly in center.
