Grandma Z's Glorified Pickles

My grandma made allot of jars of these pickles every year, she loved this recipe, and they were served at all our family gatherings. Not sure I would store these for a year though in the fridge. I'd have to can them to be safe!!!

4 to 5 lg. pickles, sliced

1 green pepper

1 sm. onion

Put in jar or large container.

BRINE:

2 c. sugar

1 1/2 c. vinegar

2 T. canning salt

Pour over pickles boiling hot. Cool and store in refrigerator. Can be eaten the next day, or next year.
