Mom's Chow Chow Pickling

I found this recipe in my mom's recipe box.

2 heads of cauliflower

1 qt. carrots

1 1/2 qt. pickles

1 qt. beans

1 1/2 qt. onions

Put pickles & onions in salt, let stand 3-4 hours - 1/4 c. salt

Brine:

5 c. sugar

5 c. vinegar

2 T. turmeric

1 T. mustard

If vegetables are big, cut them to size. After vegetables are in brine, bring to boil again, pour in jars & seal.
