Mom's Apple Pie

Handed down from my Mom, her simple recipe.

Make 2 pie crusts. Line pie pan with 1 crust. Add 5 to 7 cups sliced baking apples. Enough for heaping pie pan full. Sprinkle over apples, 1/2 to 1 cup sugar and 3/4 to 1 teaspoon cinnamon. Dot with 1 tablespoon butter or margarine. Cover with top crust and poke with fork several times. Bake until crust is nicely browned at 425° for 50-60 minutes.
