Grandma M's Heavenly Salad

This was made each Christmas. The recipe is typed (with a typewriter, of course!!!) by my grandma, and the card is very yellowed with lots of brown spots. Well used.

1 lb. white or red grapes (seeded)

1 lb. marshmallows (quartered)

1 No. 2 1/2 pineapple, drained of juice

3 beaten egg yolks

1 lemon juice

1pt. sweetened whipped cream

Mix the grapes, marshmallow, drained pineapple and chill. Cook the egg yolks and lemon juice in a double boiler until thick stirring constantly. Remove from the stove, cool slightly and pour over the sliced fruit and marshmallows. Mix lightly then fold in the whipping cream and mix. Let stand at least 8 hr. before serving chilling thoroughly. Serves 12
