Grandma Z's Cabbage Salad

2 qt. shredded cabbage

1 med. onion, chopped

3/4 tsp. salt

1 med. green pepper, chopped

In a large bowl, mix ingredients. Sprinkle salt over.

1/2 c. oil

3/4 c. sugar

1/2 c. white vinegar

Bring to boil oil, sugar and vinegar. Pour over mixture while hot, do not mix. Refrigerate overnight. Mix thoroughly in morning. Keeps well in container up to 2 weeks.
