Aunt Lorraine's Strawberry Pie

Aunt Lorraine submitted two strawberry pie recipes to the family cookbook. I made both, but this one was the biggest hit. I usually just make two at once since they disappear so fast.

1 cup strawberries, pureed in blender

1 cup sugar

3 tablespoons cornstarch

1/2 cup water

Whole strawberries for lining pie plate

1 baked pie crust

Cool Whip

Line baked pie crust with whole strawberries.  In a saucepan mix together strawberry puree, sugar, cornstarch and water; cook until bubbly.  Pour over berries.  Cool and top with Cool Whip.
