Quick and Flakey Pie Crust

This is the easiest and most delicious recipe for pie crust I've found. The crust is easy to roll out and very flakey when baked. Just don't over work it and make sure all ingredients are nice and cold.

1 1/2 stcks cold butter

3 cups flour

1 teaspoon salt

1 tablespoon sugar

1/2 cup cold vegetable shortening

6-8 tablespoons ice water

Place flour, salt, and sugar in food processor. Pulse a few times. Dice butter and shortening and add to flour. Pulse 8-12 times. With machine running, pour ice water down feed tube until dough forms a ball. Roll into ball, wrap in plastic and refrigerate 30 minutes.
