Glazed Ham

The glaze adds some very nice flavor and is tasty for dipping. So make a little extra if you want. Perfect for a canned ham.

1/8 cup Dijon mustard

1 teaspoon dried orange peel or 1 tablespoon fresh

1/8 cup orange juice

1/8 cup ketchup

1/8 cup packed brown sugar

1 tablespoon vegetable oil

1 teaspoon garlic powder

1 fully cooked boneless ham (3 pounds)

5 thin slices of orange

10 whole cloves

Heat oven according to ham package directions.  Place ham in roasting pan; add 1/2 cup water to pan.  Cover loosely with foil.  Bake ham according to package directions.  Mix together first 7 ingredients.  Half an hour before ham is done, remove from oven and baste with 2/3 glaze mixture.  Reserve remaining glaze.  Place orange slices over ham in decorative fashion, using two cloves to attach each orange slice to ham.  Return ham uncovered to oven.  Bake remaining 30 minutes.  To serve, remove orange slices and cloves.  Slice ham and serve with remaining glaze.
