Aunt Joyce's Seven Layer Salad

Wonderful recipe for a crowd!!!

1 head lettuce, shredded

1/2 cup celery, chopped

1/2 cup green pepper, chopped

1/2 cup green onion, chopped

1 small package frozen peas, cooked and drained

2 cups mayonnaise

2 tablespoons sugar

6 ounces shredded cheese

Parmesan cheese

1/2 pound bacon, fried and crumbled

Fill large bowl or pan with shredded lettuce.  Add celery, green pepper, onion and peas in layers.  Spread mayonnaise over top and sprinkle with sugar.  Top with cheeses and last sprinkle over the bacon.  Cover with plastic wrap and refrigerate 8 hours.
