Pumpkin Bars-Arlene

4 eggs

2 cups sugar

2 sticks oleo or 1 cup oil

1 (15 to 16oz) can pumpkin

Mix above ingredients in a large bowl.

Sift and add the following:

2 cups flour

2 teaspoons baking powder

1 teaspoon baking soda

1/2 teaspoon cloves

1/2 teaspoon salt

1 teaspoon cinnamon

1/2 teaspoon ginger

1/2 teaspoon nutmeg

Mix and pour into greased and floured 12x18x1 inch pan. Bake at 350 degrees for 25 to 30 minutes. Freezes well.

FROSTING:

1 (3oz) package cream cheese

1/2 stick margarine

1 teaspoon vanilla

3 cups powdered sugar

Small amount of hot water, until spreading consistency

Spread on cooled bars.
