Creole Roast Beef-Amy

1 large onion, chopped

1 whole garlic, chopped

6 celery stalks, chopped

2 medium green peppers, chopped

Oil

2 bay leaves

1 heaping tablespoon chili powder

2 (8oz.) cans tomato sauce

1 (3 to 5lb.) eye of round roast

Saute' onions, garlic, celery and peppers in oil that just covers the bottom of the pan. Add remaining ingredients. Cook and stir to mix seasoning well. Add chili powder to taste. Pour over roast beef. Cover and cook for 3 hours at 325 degrees. Serve with rice.
