Easiest Pot Roast...EVER-Julie

2-3 pound pot roast

1 packet brown gravy mix

1 packet dried Italian salad dressing mix

1 packet dry Ranch dressing mix

Water to cover

Your favorite pot roast vegetables - potatoes, carrots, onions, parsnips, etc.

Mix the dried mixes together in the crock pot. Pour 1-2 cups of water into the pot and whisk thoroughly. Place beef and vegetables in the crock pot. Add just enough water to cover. Cook on low for 8-10 hours (preferred) or high for 4-6 hours.

NOTES:
1. One does not need to sear the beef prior to placing in the crock pot for cooking purposes; however, for presentation, searing prior to placing in the crock pot will give it more finished/browned look. (i.e. for family don't do it; for guests you probably should)
2. Lifting the lid of a crock pot during cooking may add 15-30 minutes to cooking time; avoid if possible.
