Oat Bran Scones-Peggy

1 1/3 cups oat bran baking mix

1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon

2 tablespoons margarine

1/3 cups dried currents, raisins or snipped pitted dates

1/3 cup water

2 teaspoons sugar

1/4 teaspoon ground cinnamon

In a medium bowl, stir together baking mix and cinnamon. Cut in margarine until mixture resembles coarse crumbs. Stir in currents, raisins or dates. Add water all at once. Stir just until dough clings together. On a lightly floured surface, knead dough gently for 10 to 12 strokes. Roll or pat dough into a 7-inch circle. Cut into 8 wedges. Place wedges on an ungreased baking sheet. Stir together sugar and cinnamon. Sprinkle over wedges. Bake in a 450 degree oven for 8 to 10 minutes, or until light brown. Makes 8.
