Fruit Cocktail Cake-Grandma and Earlene

1 1/2 cups flour (Earlene uses 1 cup)

1 cup sugar

1 teaspoon baking soda

1/2 teaspoon salt

1 egg

1 can fruit cocktail

1/2 cup nuts

1/2 cup brown sugar

Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Put in 9x13 inch pan. Mix together nuts and brown sugar. Sprinkle nuts and brown sugar mixture on top. Bake 35-45 minutes.
