Tillie's Orange Cake-Irene

Mix:

1 cup sugar

2 eggs

1/2 cup shortening (solid)

Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Take 1 large orange (seedless), squeeze out juice, grind up 1 cup raisins with orange rind, pulp and all. Mix with 1 cup sour or buttermilk, 2 cups flour and 1 teaspoon baking soda. Mix all together. Bake for 35 minutes or until done. Use bundt or 9x13 inch pan. Take juice from orange juice and mix with 3/4 cup sugar. Put on hot cake and put under broiler until bubbly.
