Turtle Pretzels-Becky

1 (14oz) package caramels

1 tablespoon water

1 (10oz) package pretzels

8 ounces German sweet chocolate or semi-sweet

2 teaspoons shortening

1 cup finely chopped pecans

I double boiler or microwave, melt caramels in water. Dip half of each pretzel into the hot caramel. Place on greased sheet of foil. In a saucepan or microwave, melt chocolate and shortening. Dip caramel coated end of pretzel into the chocolate. Sprinkle with nuts and return to foil to cool.
