Football Stew-Grandma

1 pound beet stew meat

1 onion, diced

4 carrots, sliced

1 stalk celery, chopped

4 potatoes, cubed

2 cups tomato juice

2 tablespoons sugar

3 tablespoons tapioca

2 teaspoons salt

Combine tomato juice, sugar, tapioca and salt. Combine meat, do not brown, and vegetables. Top with tomato mixture, seal with foil and bake 4 hours at 250 degrees. Serves 4.
