Pecan Crescents-Lorraine

1 cup soft butter

1/4 cup confectioners' sugar

1 1/2 teaspoons water

2 teaspoons vanilla

2 cups unsifted flour

1 cup chopped walnuts

Preheat oven to 375 degrees. Cream butter and powdered sugar. Add remaining ingredients and mix well. Shape in crescents or soft balls. Bake for 15 minutes. While warm, roll in powdered sugar and again when cool. Makes 6 dozen.
