Galaktobouriko (Custard Torte with Phyllo)-Becky

2 quarts milk

1 1/2 cups sugar

1/2 pound butter

1 small can condensed milk

1 cup Farina

9 eggs

Juice of 1 orange

1/4 pound phyllo dough

Bring milk, Farina, sugar and butter to rolling boil. Cool. Add orange juice and small can milk. Beat eggs until fluffy, gradually folding eggs into mixture. Grease pan and line with 6 or 7 layers phyllo. Pour mixture into pan and cover with 6 or 7 more layers phyllo. Pour over all this a little melted butter. Bake 20 minutes at 400 degrees, then reduce heat to 350 degrees for 45 more minutes or until inserted table knife comes out dry. While still warm, pour over all this syrup.

SYRUP:

2 cups sugar

1 cup water

1 tablespoon lemon juice

Bring above to boil. Simmer 5 minutes; pour over cake. This is super delicious!
