Mom Dibble's Apple Slices-Becky

1 cup butter

2 1/2 cups flour

1 tablespoon sugar

1/2 teaspoon salt

1/2 package yeast (1teaspoon)

2 beaten egg yolks

1/2 cup milk

Mix dry ingredients as a pie crust. Add milk and yolks. Roll 2/3 of dough to fit 9x13 inch pan, bottom and up sides a little. Slice 8 to 10 apples over dough.

1 cup sugar

6 tablespoons flour

1 teaspoon vanilla

Mix and sprinkle over apples and dot with butter. Roll out rest of dough and overlap. Bake at 350 degrees for 1 hour. As soon as it is removed from oven, frost with a thin powdered sugar icing. Let set. Can be frozen in 1 meal portions and warmed. Delicious!

One of Mom Dibble's specialties. I make anywhere from 3-5 pans of this each fall, freeze in meal sized portions and have a delicious handy dessert handy until well after the holidays.
