Easy Barbecued Spareribs-Arlene

3 pounds ribs

1/2 cup ketchup

1 teaspoon soy sauce

2 medium onions

1 1/2 cups water

1/2 teaspoon chili powder

1 1/2 teaspoons salt

Mix ketchup, water, sauce, chili powder and salt all together. Lay a layer of ribs, and then layer of onion in a roaster. Cover with the mixture, part of it. Mix another layer of ribs, onions and mixture until all is used. Bake for 3 hours at 350 degrees. Leave cover off for at least 1/2 hour to brown.
