Cabbage Salad -Grandma

2 quarts shredded cabbage

1 medium onion, chopped

3/4 teaspoon salt

1 medium green pepper, chopped

In a large bowl, mix ingredients. Sprinkle salt over all.

1/2 cup oil

3/4 cup sugar

1/2 cup white vinegar

Bring to boil oil, sugar and vinegar. Pour over mixture while hot, do not mix. Refrigerate overnight. Mix thoroughly in morning. Keeps well in container up to 2 weeks.
