Sweet Spiced Nuts-Lorraine

1/2 cup brown sugar

1 1/2 tablespoons water

1/2 teaspoon salt

1/8 teaspoon nutmeg

1/2 teaspoon cinnamon

1/4 teaspoon allspice

1/8 teaspoon ground cloves

1 1/2 cups almonds, cashews, pecan halves or walnut halves

In 2 quart casserole, combine all ingredients except nuts. Microwave 1 to 1 1/2 minutes, or until sugar is melted. Place nuts in waxed paper lined oblong dish. Add syrup. Microwave 3 1/2 to 4 1/2 minutes, or until syrup begins to harden. Cool and break into small pieces.
