Bumbleberry Jam

Bumbleberry Jam

I make this jam every mid summer when all these fruits are available in peak season..My family all love it. It's also good for topping meats. I mix it with Russian Dressing to top my Russian Chicken.

1 cup crushed blueberries

1 cup crushed raspberries

1 cup crushed hulled strawberries

6 cups sugar

1 pouch liquid pectin

In large saucepan combine fruits and sugar. Over high heat, stirring constantly, bring to full rolling boil that cannot be stirred down. Stir in pectin. Boil hard, stirring constantly, for 1 minute. Remove from heat and skim off foam.** Ladle into sterilized jars and seal for 10 minutes. Add 5 minutes for every 1000 feet of elevation.

**If you need to learn how to prepare jars and process, there are canning sites that can explain the steps much better than I can. It's really not hard and once you do it you will be able to just know what to do without looking anymore. It's that easy but you want to make sure they are sealed properly.
